The MVA's Approved Interpreter/Translator Provider Listing is the MVA's primary source for interpreter and translation providers accepted by the MVA. Please note: The MVA's Interpreter/Translation Provider Program is a new program. The MVA is currently accepting applications from individuals interested in applying for placement on the MVA's Approved Interpreter/Translator Provider Listing. A new listing is released on a quarterly basis with the next listing released on July 1, 2008. For additional interpreter and translation providers currently available and accepted by the MVA, please see Additional Interpreter/Translation Providers Accepted by the MVA. For interpreters and/or translators interested in applying for placement on the MVA's Approved Interpreter/Translator Provider Listing, please complete the MVA's Application to Provide Interpretation and/or Translation Services (form# DL-200), Interpreter and/or Translator Certification Form (form# DL-201), and the Contact Release Form. These three forms must be completed in their entirety to include all required supporting documentation by anyone who wishes to apply to the MVA's Approved Interpreter/Translation Provider Program. Only individuals approved by the MVA will be eligible to provide interpretation and/or translation services to MVA customers. Businesses or organizations must provide the Application to Provide Interpretation and/or Translation Services (form# DL-200), Interpreter and/or Translator Certification Form (form# DL-201), and the Contact Release Form for each employee or member seeking possible placement on the MVA's Approved Interpreter/Translator Provider Listing. The application contains specific criteria that each individual interpreter or translator must meet for approval and placement on the listing. The forms must contain the applicant's original signature. The MVA will review and approve applicants on an individual basis. If an interpreter and/or translation provider is not available from the MVA's Approved Interpreter/Translator Provider Listing, the following providers are also accepted by the MVA. OR - If the MVA's Approved Interpreter/Translator Provider Listing and the MVA's State of Maryland Court Interpreter Registry Listing do not have an interpreter/translation provider available for the requested language, CTS Language Link, an accepted State provider, may provide document translations or in-person interpetation services.

Please note:
- Interpreters and/or translators cannot provide both interpretation and/or translation services for the same individual for the same or related MVA transaction.
- Interpreters cannot provide interpretation services for family members, including but not limited to a blood relation or a relative related by marriage.
